Suzanne is an emerging mixed media and contemporary collage artist whose work centers on storytelling, transformation, and reinvention.
With early experience as a college art major, her creative path has evolved through diverse disciplines, including a successful silversmithing jewelry business featured in local galleries and a high-end boutique. She also holds a certification in bespoke tailoring, reflecting her longstanding commitment to craftsmanship and design.
In recent years, Suzanne has found her artistic home in analog and digital collage, where she combines her love of vintage materials with layered, narrative-driven compositions. Drawing from books, magazines, and photography dating to the 1960s and earlier, she reimagines forgotten imagery into bold, textured works that explore themes of femininity, resilience, and empowerment. Her pieces invite close viewing, revealing both personal and universal stories.
Suzanne’s work is beginning to gain recognition. She received an honorable mention and placed 3rd in call-to-art exhibits. She recently was the featured artist at a local studio.
Committed to growth, she regularly attends art retreats and continues her education through online courses. She is currently expanding into digital collage where she can blend her original pieces with digital manipulation, blending traditional and contemporary techniques.
Her practice is guided by intuition, a sharp sense of humor, and a commitment to sustainability through the use of repurposed materials.
Suzanne’s work reflects a philosophy rooted in reinvention, confidence, and honoring the past while imagining new possibilities. Through her collage, she creates visual narratives that encourage reflection, connection, and transformation.
Artist Statement
My art is an expression of freedom, healing, and personal truth. Through analog and digital collage, I create bold, layered works that invite viewers to find their own meaning while I hold the deeper story within the piece.
I am drawn to color, texture, and vintage materials because they allow me to transform old fragments into something new, beautiful, and alive.
My work reflects both my lived experience and my desire to create images that bring joy, strength, and connection into the home.
I want my art to speak to women who are learning to trust themselves, embrace their inner power, and move forward with confidence. At the same time, I hope each piece offers visual beauty, a sense of curiosity, and a story that reveals something new each time it is seen.
I create because it brings me happiness and gives me the freedom to express what I feel without having to explain anything.
The true meaning of each piece is mine alone, yet I invite others to connect with it in their own way.
Through my work, I hope to offer affirmation, empowerment, and a sense of possibility.
